Recital hall I like Chopin

The Venue

A Hall with No Bad Seats

Fifty seats, one grand piano, and a few meters between them. That is all — and that is precisely the point. In our venue, the last row is closer to the keyboard than the front row in most halls. You can hear the pedal, catch the pianist’s breath before a phrase, and see the movement of their hands. Here, music is not experienced from a distance.

A Sea of Candles

Hundreds of candles spill across the floor in front of the grand piano - not just a single row for effect, but a wide arc illuminating the entire front section of the hall. A dark curtain behind the instrument absorbs the remaining light, leaving the piano in a warm pool of glow while the audience sits in semi-darkness.

Above the rows of seats hangs a small Chopin gallery: a portrait, a bust, a monument, and the white manor house in Żelazowa Wola where he was born. This is no random decor— you are sitting in a space that tells a story before the very first note is played.

Location

Rajska 4C is located in the very center of Gdańsk, just a few minutes' walk from the Main Town. A concert here pairs seamlessly with an evening stroll through the city center.

The hall is below street level, accessed via a staircase with a handrail. Please note that the facility does not have an elevator.
